董小鹏,男,19837月毕业于山东大学电子工程系,获学士学位,19865月毕业于中国科学技术大学电子工程与信息科学系,获硕士学位。1986.51998.11在中国科学技术大学电子工程与信息科学系任教,1998.12月到厦门大学电子工程系任教,2000年被评为教授,2002年成为博士生导师,现为厦门大学信息科学与技术学院光波技术研究所所长。

董小鹏教授长期从事光纤通信和光纤传感技术应用方面的研究,研究领域包括:新型光纤与光波导器件;光纤激光及光纤放大器;光纤电流与电压传感器;光纤气体传感器;基于光纤光栅的温度、应变、位移、振动、加速度、钢筋锈蚀、材料裂纹传感器等。目前,研发的光纤传感器及相关监测技术主要在电力、高铁系统、城市输水管道、桥梁、隧道及土木工程中应用。曾分别于2004.22004.8在加拿大McMaster大学工程物理系任客座教授、1992.21993.5在英国Southampton大学光电子研究中心(Opto-Electronics  Research Centre)任高级访问学者、1996.11997.1及随后多次在香港城市大学电子工程系任高级访问学者、客座教授,从事光纤技术及其在光通信与光纤传感应用方面的研究。与国内外一些大学和研究机构保持着良好的交流与合作关系,多次在国内、国际学术会议做邀请报告,以及担任相关会议的技术委员会委员和主持人,曾担任第三届先进信息技术国际会议(ICAIT  2010)技术委员会共主席。在光纤通信与光纤传感领域发表论文80余篇,论文被SCI他引100多次,获得专利近10项。负责和完成包括国家自然科学基金、省部级与企事业单位委托的项目20多项。
